Woodland Township is located in Township 118 North of the Arkansas Base Line and Range 26 West of the 5th Principal Meridian.Īs of the census of 2000, there were 1,137 people, 389 households, and 322 families residing in the township. The southern portion of the city of Montrose is located within Woodland Township geographically but is a separate entity. Woodland Township was organized in 1858, and named for the original tracts of woodlands within its borders. The population was 1,137 at the 2000 census.
